New digital edition platform comes to Canada
Be in control of your reader's experience

Canadian owned and operated Digitallity Works Inc. is giving online publishers complete control over how they want readers to experience their publication. The creation of DigiWorks, a digital publication platform, was motivated by the recent economic downturn and the trend towards magazines moving to online digital models to reduce costs.

“We wanted to give publishers another viable option from a company with a publishing background who will understand their needs from both a publishing standpoint and a technical one,” says James Zammit, a 15-year business-to-business publishing and circulation veteran who joined forces with CTO Daniel Santos to launch Digitallity Works Inc. last month.

Increased exposure with DigiWorks

DigiWorks is fully search engine optimized and built on Flash. By making sure that pages are fully indexed in all search engines, DigiWorks increases the exposure of their client’s publications and ads.

DigiWorks boasts a proprietary media player embedded within the digital edition with a complete control panel.

“Our rich media offerings are world class,” says Zammit. “There is no third party linking and the video is embedded within the digital publication. There’s also the option for start and stop video either on-demand or automatically.”

The company offers ‘ultra-inclusive’ page price rates that include conversion, creation, hosting and set up. Rich media can also be included at a set per page price.

“By offering an inclusive rate verses the ‘a la carte’ method of some of our competitors we feel that it makes budgeting easier for our clients,” says Zammit, who runs the company from West Toronto.

By giving publishers complete control over the reader experience, Zammit feels that DigiWorks will make integrating digital into a company’s overall marketing plan easy and affordable.
