citynews.ca offers more to its readers
New partnership means increased content
The online news service for Toronto's Citytv, Citynews.ca, and The Mark, themarknews.com, have announced a content partnership that will provide citynews.ca users a new stream of local features and opinion pieces.
This new content partnership includes a weekly editorial opinion series from a number of The Mark contributors on topics impacting Torontonians. In January, the weekly series will focus on topics central to the local community such as poverty, the TTC, changing neighbourhoods, HST, and the mayoral race.
"Citynews.ca is pleased to be able to offer our users more in-depth, hyper-local and opinion based news features from a long list of notable Torontonians," comments Claude Galipeau, SVP & GM Digital, Rogers Media. "Our relationship with The Mark will serve to complement our current daily news, sports, traffic and weather coverage."
"The Mark's mission is to provide outstanding Canadian thinkers and doers with a platform on which to articulate their informed opinions to a large audience," said Jeff Anders, CEO, The Mark. "This partnership with citynews.ca is an exciting opportunity to feature Toronto's most compelling, innovative ideas, and the people behind those ideas, on both citynews.ca and themarknews.com."
