"Sexy Sumos" win big at 2009 CMA Awards
DDB Canada's campaign captures eight Ripple Awards for Subaru Canada

About 1,400 people turned out on Friday to celebrate the best and the brightest the Canadian marketing industry has to offer. The 2009 CMA Awards marked its 39 th year with a gala evening at the Westin Harbour Castle in Toronto. Subaru Canada was the night’s big winner, capturing eight Ripple Awards, including best digital campaign in the automotive category and the coveted Best of the Best title.

War Child Canada won the Gold in the NFP/Fundraising/Public Service category with their tongue-in-cheek "Help Child Soldiers" campaign and American Express Canada's "More Access" campiagn captured top honour in the financial category.
