Social media billed as hot topic at this year's eMetrics Marketing Optimization Summit

eMetrics is the premiere global conference focused on improving the results of your digital marketing investment and this year's Toronto event being held April 6-9 at the Delta Chelsea Hotel promises to shine the light on the social media phenomenon that is sweeping not only Canada, but the world.
According to conference chair Jim Stern, feedback from past attendees showed that many people are interested in this topic.
"With so much interest being expressed about social media topics we've gone ahead and compiled a lot of information on the subject from both a large compnay and small business perspective."
Some key speakers to watch for include:
Tim Ash, CEO and Founder, SiteTuners and author Landing Page Optimization: The Definitive Guide to Testing and Tuning for Conversions
Andrea Peckham, Senior Manager, Brand Marketing, Aviva Canada and Patrick Glinski, Idea Couture talking about How Social Media Measures Up When Giving Away Half a Million Dollars
Brian Flanagan, Expedia Canada on Bridging Analog to Digital: How Expedia Listens to Millions of Customers as Individuals
Social & Search: Rock Both Worlds with Data hosted by Avinash Kaushik, author of Web Analytics 2.0 and Web Analytics An Hour a Day
To keep up with the demand for a wider range of contect, Stern says the conference has added more workshops in order to make sure nothing gets missed.
Web analysis is another topic that is getting more attention this year, with many of the breakout sessions cover how to most effectively analyse and mistakes to watch for when dealing with data.
Despite refent fears that the economy is hurting the trade show industry, eMetrics have had record attendance at all of their conferences so far this year.
"Last year we figured out ways to do things less expesively and be able to give attendees the most value for their conference dollars," says Stern. "And the feedback from last year allowed us to organize the best line-up of events and the best selection of speakers.
"There's something for everyone but not everyting is for everyone," he says.
While attending eMetrics be sure to check out SMX Toronto, the search marketing expo bing held in the same location on April 8-9.
