Cut costs and produce more effective websites

Open Text, a global leader in Enterprise Content Management (ECM), recently launched Open Text Web Solutions 10, the latest release of Open Text’s Web Content Management (WCM) software. Web Solutions 10 allows organizations to intelligently manage and deliver a broad set of corporate information to users over the web, and features extensive usability upgrades, a new technology foundation, and deeper and more comprehensive integration with the Open Text ECM Suite and the SAP NetWeaver Portal component.

The role of WCM has significantly expanded from a place to store and publish external-facing content to a vital tool in helping to support organizational business goals in such areas as sales and customer support. This means that WCM must deliver a highly personal customer experience and be able to tap into content housed in many different enterprise systems. And as digital assets have become less expensive to create, companies need better ways to manage rich media such as audio and video.

“Sites like iGoogle, Twitter and the many social web offerings have raised the bar on the type of intuitive, flexible and personal experience users expect when visiting web sites,” says Jens Rabe, Vice President of Web Solutions at Open Text. “With Web Solutions 10, we are bringing the full Web 2.0 user interface to both the people editing content within the company and to the consumers of this content. The many enhancements and deep ECM and digital asset management integrations in this release will help customers save costs and produce more compelling and effective websites.”Top of Page

CampaignFinder.com empowers nonprofits

With the launch of a new portal, PGD Canada Inc., a web-based information solutions company, will now offer nonprofit organizations a revolutionary new way to showcase their capital campaigns to a global audience - for free.

This new site, CampaignFinder.com, provides a gateway for nonprofits to bring awareness to their capital campaigns and raise more money online while building relationships with donors - right from their own desktop.

CampaignFinder.com, an online charitable giving tool and resource designed to connect philanthropic donors with fundraising campaigns around the world, will facilitate online giving from donors and increase campaign awareness for nonprofit organizations. CampaignFinder.com connects donors directly to fundraising campaigns, allowing donors to not only contribute to a cause or organization, but to help fund a specific project or goal.

“There are plenty of people who want to contribute to larger endeavour, such as a new MRI machine, a new research building or an endowment fund, but have no way of finding these campaigns to support,” says Daniela Passero, Founder and Editor of CampaignFinder.com. “CampaignFinder.com makes it as easy as possible for donors to actively participate in achieving a campaign goal, give with confidence, and to have a more transparent, engaging and informative donor experience.”

With the help of CampaignFinder.com, individual, corporate and foundation donors no longer have to sort through a charity's website for case statements, campaign updates or press releases. All the information they are seeking in order to make an informed giving decision is at their fingertips.

Donors or volunteers can also stay connected to the campaigns they support with CampaignFinder.com. Twenty-first century donors are no longer content to write checks and go on with their daily lives. They want to be kept informed, follow their donation and be a partner in reaching that campaign goal.

As a multi-faceted website, CampaignFinder.com also serves as an information resource to nonprofits and fundraising professionals. Whether a nonprofit is in the planning, silent or public phase of a capital campaign, CampaignFinder.com provides access to articles, fundraising tools, web seminars and service directory listings that can assist nonprofits with all their campaign questions and fundraising needs. Fotoglif delivers royalty-free images and revenue sharing

Fotoglif has launched a new service that makes it easy for bloggers, social media fans and other web publishers to add high-quality, royalty-free and timely images to jazz up their written content.

The beta version of the Fotoglif image-sharing community and licensing platform is available now at www.Fotoglif.com. The site features more than 3 million images, with thousands of new ones from professional photographers and respected news agencies added each day from global breaking news, entertainment and sports stories.

In addition to providing professional images for web authors, Fotoglif offers photographers a revenue-generating outlet for use of their photos in the exploding online content market. While providing images royalty-free, Fotoglif allows photographers who post their albums on its service to tap into revenue that is generated via advertising views. A unique Registered Publisher Service gives bloggers and others who use the images the same opportunity to earn revenue from the site.

“Fotoglif gives web authors who want to add visual flair to their pieces an alternative to traditional photo stock houses and grass roots image sites, with the bonus of earning revenue from images they select,” says Fotoglif founder Michael Betts. “As a former photography studio owner, I see a huge opportunity to help photographers broaden the use of their images through our new business model. We've built our service to allow revenue sharing among those who provide the images and those who use the images - a classic'win-win' scenario.”
