CMC website has innovative trading platform
To meet the investment and educational needs of its growing base of active traders, CMC Markets today announced the launch of Marketmaker Web(TM), an advanced browser-based trading platform, and the Education Zone, an extensive base of trading knowledge and strategies on their redesigned website www.cmcmarkets.ca.
As more investors participate in online trading, they are seeking access to global markets, commodities and Foreign Exchange investing, which are all available at CMC Markets. Since receiving regulatory approvals in October 2009, CMC Markets, Canada's only provider of Contracts for Difference (CFDs), has been expanding its offering of CFDs and FX to retail investors in Ontario and Quebec.
"Our growing clientele consists of active traders and serious investors who demand powerful and reliable trading platforms to execute their trades," said Bruce Seago, CEO, CMC Markets Canada. "Having established ourselves as a global leader in online trading, we take great pride in being leading-edge and client-focused. With the launch of these new initiatives today, we are moving our clients forward with the latest technologies, resources and customer support."
Marketmaker Web
Marketmaker Web is a new browser-based trading platform easily accessed by any computer. Until now, the company's award-winning trading platform Marketmaker was available by download onto a desktop or mobile phone. Marketmaker provides real-time streaming quotes, one click trading, advanced order types and real-time account management among its valuable features. The convenience of one user ID and password for both the software and web access version to an account, means clients can easily and securely trade anywhere, anytime as long as markets are open.
Education Zone
CMC Markets has also introduced a new one-stop Education Zone on the site. Here, clients can find the Trader Health Check, a series of questions related to the trader's experience and interests, which then yields customized training suggestions drawing on CMC Market's extensive education materials. Clients also have access to Education on Demand, a series of online video training modules, divided into Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced trader levels. Other educational tools include Video Walk-Throughs for maximizing use of the Marketmaker trading platform, a Trading Library, and Trading IQ, an award-winning educational program ideal for new traders.
"Since we started offering our products to retail investors, ongoing customer education is more important than ever. Our recently expanded training and education resources ensure that we have provided our clients with a valuable depth and breadth of trading knowledge," added Mr. Seago.
Redesigned website
The newly improved www.cmcmarkets.ca is loaded with even better features and a more user-friendly approach to enhance the investor's experience. Besides a fresh new design and new highlights like Marketmaker Web and the Education Zone, the site boasts improved navigation, powerful graphics, and easier access to key support tools.
As a member of the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada (IIROC), all client accounts of CMC Markets Canada are protected by the Canadian Investor Protection Fund (CIPF). Top of Page

NextMark upgrades free online mailing list finder
NextMark, Inc., a leading provider of direct marketing tools and resources, has announced the re-launch of its free online Mailing List Finder. The renovations include easier searching, expanded information, a streamlined request for information (RFI) process, better identification of preferred providers, and a revamped design.
"The changes to the List Finder are in response to customer ideas and a dramatic increase in usage," says Joseph Pych, founder and President, NextMark. "Marketers love the results they get from the tool and it's grown to become one of the most popular websites for finding mailing lists. It's clearly a winner and we wanted to make it even more powerful."
The Mailing List Finder helps to solve one of the most vexing problems in marketing.
According to Mr. Pych, "The reason many marketing programs fail is because the right offer is sent to the wrong people. The goal of the Mailing List Finder is to help marketers to avoid this costly mistake by making it easy to find the highly-responsive niche lists they may have missed in past campaigns. This tool helps them to optimize an audience of prospects who will appreciate and respond to their offer."
The Mailing List Finder provides marketers with free access to expert information on more than 60,000 postal, email, and telephone lists. Located on the web at http://lists.NextMark.com, it is the only website to offer a comprehensive and unbiased index of all available lists from more than 1,400 suppliers. The tool was recently cited as the "Google of mailing lists" by National Public Radio.
The website also works as a matchmaking service between direct marketers and marketing services providers, such as list brokers and list managers with vertical market expertise.
"This online tool is delivering thousands of new inquiries to list brokers and managers every month, and makes it easier for all marketers to get connected with list and data providers," said Chris DeMartine, Director of Business Development at NextMark. Top of Page

Live High Inc., a privately held Canadian company, announced the beta launch of its website, LiveHigh.com. LiveHigh.com is a new online community dedicated to "everything condominiums". Featuring in-depth profiles for almost every condo apartment and loft in the Greater Toronto Area dating back to 1970, LiveHigh.com was created to empower buyers, sellers, investors and renters to make better decisions about their homes and investments.
Inspired by the lack of cohesive information online and born out of the resulting frustration, LiveHigh.com presents an organized solution to the existing market gap by providing the tools for more effective research, and a more efficient online experience. LiveHigh.com provides free, unprecedented access to a growing collection of more than 1,000 in-depth profiles of completed condos and over 100 new and yet-to-be-released condo projects in the GTA. LiveHigh.com has an intuitive, interactive platform to help users locate related or nearby condos and neighbourhood amenities with ease.
As Toronto's heated housing market continues to flourish, LiveHigh.com will prove to be a timely and powerful platform for both home hunters and industry professionals alike. Handy features range from a real-time real estate news feed, to discussion forums on every condo profile that allow users to connect and interact with other condo enthusiasts. Dynamic keyword and map searches as well as an extended array of additional features offered through free membership help to establish LiveHigh.com as 'your source for everything condominiums'.
"We've been there ourselves, and know how frustrating it can be to search for condos online." explains co-founder Karin Ing. "After clicking through countless websites, we found ourselves annoyed and discouraged. Information was not only limited but fragmented, and we quickly realized the need for a "one-stop condo resource" - it was then that LiveHigh.com was conceived." Co-founder Yvonne Ho added, "We created LiveHigh.com to be different, more complete and more intuitive. We strive to profile all condos - regardless of age or neighbourhood - they're all relevant. We're launching with over 1,000 condos and 10,000 photos - and we're only getting started." Top of Page

Online program for immigration practitioners first of its kind in Canada
Francophone students across Canada made history as the Canadian Society of Immigration Consultants (CSIC) started classes at Canada's first French-language online immigration practitioner program.
"These students are on their way to joining a proud profession which helps immigrants live their dreams of becoming Canadian," said John Ryan, CSIC Chair and Acting CEO. "Now Francophone students will have access to accredited courses for the Certified Canadian Immigration Consultant (CCIC) profession for the first time."
Recently the Quebec government announced that CSIC accreditation will soon become mandatory for immigration consultants in the province. Students in the online education program will have the necessary credentials to offer immigration services upon graduation.
Students will learn about immigration law and practice, business ethics and other topics while cutting-edge interactive components will allow them to interact one-on-one with successful CCICs. Students will also build a business plan and a professional network.
"We want to ensure that graduates have the tools they need to provide quality service and launch a successful career," said Ryan. "In addition, consumers of immigration consulting services in Quebec will benefit from increased access to accredited immigration consultants." Top of Page
